Saffa Resource Assistance is a North Carolina-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping South Africans successfully navigate new beginnings and build stable, self-sufficient, and thriving futures. Our primary focus is supporting South African refugees as they establish their lives in the United States by providing practical assistance, employment-readiness support, resource navigation, and connections to the communities in which they live and work. As the organization grows, our broader vision includes expanding access to resources and opportunities for South Africans experiencing hardship and barriers to stability within South Africa.

We recognize that starting over in a new country involves much more than arriving at a new destination. Individuals and families must learn unfamiliar systems, secure employment and housing, establish new support networks, and adjust to a different culture while rebuilding a sense of stability and belonging. Saffa Resource Assistance seeks to help bridge that gap. Through individualized guidance, resume and interview assistance, connections to local resources, limited needs-based financial assistance, and partnerships with community organizations, businesses, faith communities, volunteers, and other service providers, we help newcomers move from immediate transition toward long-term independence.
